Data Sources & Licences

First Five combines user-provided label information with attributed product and ingredient data. Product records can be incomplete or outdated, so always check the physical pack.

CHOMP Food API

Product data provided in part by CHOMP. CHOMP supplies source-labelled product facts only; First Five performs its own ingredient mapping and personalised Family Standards scoring. Raw CHOMP responses are cached temporarily for less than 24 hours and are not copied into a permanent raw provider mirror. CHOMP product photographs are not used by this integration.

Open Facts databases

Data may come from Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts and Open Products Facts. Their databases, including the pinned food-ingredient taxonomy used for label-name matching, are available under the Open Database License; individual database contents use the Database Contents License. Product images are offered under CC BY-SA 3.0 unless a product page states otherwise.

European Commission CosIng glossary

Cosmetic label names may be matched against the glossary in Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175, reused under the Commission's CC BY 4.0 reuse notice. A glossary match identifies a name only. Inclusion does not mean the ingredient is authorised, approved or safe, and First Five does not infer concentration or product suitability from it.

Wikidata

Some barcode identity information may come from Wikidata. Wikidata structured data is available under CC0.

First Five does not claim ownership of these data sources. Use the correction option in a scanner result or contact support@nomiapp.net to report a mismatch.
